Welcome to LIFT OFF - a space for exchange, discovery & connection.

The year 2020, in a context out of normality, the entire world stood still. From the Michelberger Hotel in Berlin, Germany, emptied of its guests and usual swirl of life, we hosted a series of thought-provoking dialogues on the radical shifts needed in our spiritual, social, and economic systems. Featuring voices like Bayo Akomolafe, Helena Norberg-Hodge and Maja Göpel, the series illuminated paths toward a regenerative future—one conversation at a time.

The present is palpable and from here, it goes forward. We want to do our part, to use our space & time to connect, learn, discuss and act together. We start with ourselves. Or, as Byron Katie says, "The good thing about the past is that it’s over".

Change is made with or without us. Political discussions, social visions, old wisdom, historical knowledge, global consciousness and utopias of a changing world — on all levels, it shapes the now.

It is time to take on the responsibility — individually and as a community. Into the new, with less fear, more together, locally engaged and globally responsible.

What is our image of people? Egocentric, untrustworthy and weak? Or conscious, free, self-responsible and good? It is time to write a human moral story, based on an overarching necessary story and, beneath it, a respect for individual views, journeys, communal work and negotiations.

All under one sky, figuring out a way for long-term peace and life worth the survival of the human race.
